The process of arranging a a car check or other vehicle inspection is simple. You can contact us using the form below and from there we can arrange to see the vehicle in person. This can be at a car dealership, home or wherever works for you and the seller of the vehicle you’re purchasing. Buying a used car has a risk so any check or other vehicle check you can utilise helps you make an informed decision with diagnostic equipment and experience of a fully qualified pre-purchase vehicle inspection.
Caution when buying a used vehicle:
A lot of used cars for sale on the Irish market where previously written off in the UK or Ireland. A significant amount of these vehicles have been involved in accidents where an insurance claim is not made and as a result these vehicles are not picked up on by the online history car checks and the potential buyer would not be aware. Many vehicles which have been written off under an insurance claim are repaired and put for sale before the online history vehicle check providers have been notified.
Vehicles are also for sale with issues that are not fully apparent to the untrained eye and ear and not part of an NCT/ CVRT test such as performance of engine and gearbox components, clutch or turbo performance, interior rattles, wind noise, water ingress. So a vehicle with a fresh or lengthy test is not a guarantee that no costly issues exist.
90% of all vehicle inspections we carry out have issues of some sort that will need attention immediately or within a few short weeks from a mechanic. Issues noted from the underneath of the vehicle with under body rust, suspension components, engine oil leaks, floor damage, exhaust rust, gearbox and driveshaft oil seals will be flagged when purchasing a car with us.
